Coronavirus has previously tested positive for corona, a lion safari in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, and now at the Jaipur Zoo. As well as other lions and white tigers in the zoo have also been found to be suspicious. The investigation was also conducted at IVRI i.e. Indian Veterinary Research Institute at Izzatnagar, Bareilly. Giant Director (CADRAD) of IVRI, Dr. KP Singh has confirmed the investigation report. A lion named Tripur of Jaipur Zoo has been infected. IVRI has sent the investigation report to Jaipur Zoo.
17 samples of lions and tigers were taken from Jaipur Zoo for IVRI examination. The RT-PCR investigation revealed an infection of the lion corona. Another sample of a lion and a white tiger was found suspicious. They are symptoms of both but have not been confirmed by examination of the sample. Their samples are requested again. At the same time the investigation report of the sample of Jaipur zoo lion, two tigers, and pangolin is negative.
A sample of an owl from Delhi was also sent to Corona for examination in IVRI. The investigation has found it negative. These three hair samples were taken from Punjab. They have also been found to be negative in the investigation. Let me tell you that eight lions of Hyderabad Zoo and a lion of Etawah Lion Safari were infected with corona before Jaipur Zoo Lion.
