The ruddy shelduck known in India as the Brahminy duck usually found in the river banks and huge lakes.
They lived in herd and always seen in pairs. They are very shy and difficult to capture.I clicked this image on my visit of Nalsarovar bird sanctuary. Our boat was very far from the group of ducks but they already started swimming to keep us behind and then flew away.
